Position Overview

They are seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join their accounting team and play a key leadership role in client support, financial oversight, and staff mentorship.

This is a client-facing leadership role where you will oversee accounting operations for multiple clients, review financial statements, manage complex accounting issues, and supervise 3–4 Staff Accountants on a regular basis.

This role is ideal for an analytical, proactive professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys both strategic oversight and hands-on accounting work.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and oversee day-to-day accounting operations for multiple clients

  • Review and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

  • Lead month-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries

  • Oversee payroll entries and ensure accuracy in financial reporting

  • Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules

  • Maintain adequate records for 1099 filings

  • Review work completed by 3–4 Staff Accountants and provide guidance

  • Mentor and train accounting team members

  • Serve as a direct client-facing contact

  • Manage more complex accounting issues and escalations

  • Lead special projects and process improvement initiatives

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance department performance


Qualifications & Experience

  • 2–5+ years of progressive accounting experience

  • Experience supervising or mentoring accounting staff

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (cash and tax basis accounting)

  • High proficiency in QuickBooks Online

  • QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor (required)

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills

  • Fluent spoken and written English
