We are searching for a Logistics Analyst for our client in Atlanta, GA. You will be an integral part of the logistics team, responsible for overseeing the import and export processes, container clearances, USDA inspections, and tracking of all inbound containers. Your meticulous attention to detail, exceptional problem-solving skills, and strong analytical abilities will be critical in maintaining the smooth flow of goods and ensuring timely deliveries.

We are searching for a Logistics Analyst for our client in Atlanta, GA. You will be an integral part of the logistics team, responsible for overseeing the import and export processes, container clearances, USDA inspections, and tracking of all inbound containers. Your meticulous attention to detail, exceptional problem-solving skills, and strong analytical abilities will be critical in maintaining the smooth flow of goods and ensuring timely deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Import and Export Operations: Collaborate with international suppliers and freight forwarders to facilitate the smooth movement of protein products, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Container Clearance: Coordinate and monitor the clearance process for incoming containers, handling all necessary paperwork and ensuring adherence to customs regulations.
- Drayage Carrier Management: Issue Delivery Orders (DO) to drayage carriers and closely monitor carrier performance to ensure timely and efficient transportation of containers.
- Container Arrival Tracking: Implement a comprehensive tracking system for all inbound containers, providing real-time updates to internal stakeholders and promptly addressing any potential delays or issues.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics tools to assess supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop actionable insights to optimize logistics operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, warehouse, and sales, to ensure seamless communication and alignment of logistics activities.
- Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with all industry regulations, import/export laws, and safety standards, upholding the company's commitment to ethical and legal business practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics operations, preferably in the protein or food industry.
- Bilingual in english and spanish.
- In-depth knowledge of import/export and USDA regulations, container clearance processes, and carrier management. Experience with tracking and monitoring inbound containers to manage timely deliveries.
- Strong communication and proven ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
- Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing logistics environment.
