Our client is a food & beverage company with a strong presence in the Americas.
As a result of their great expansion, they are currently looking for an Engineering Project Manager to join their facility in Cactus, Texas.
You will play a critical role in overseeing various aspects of engineering projects related to the facility's infrastructure, equipment, and processes.
You will lead and coordinate a team of 10 professionals, as well as engineering projects that support the facility's operations, improve efficiency, ensure compliance with regulations, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
This position reports to the Plant Engineer and collaborates with the Plant Manager, Plant Operations Managers, Controller, maintenance departments, and purchasing.

You will lead and coordinate a team of 10 professionals, as well as engineering projects that support the facility's operations, improve efficiency, ensure compliance with regulations, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Key Accountabilities:
- Budget Management: Oversee budgeting for capital improvements, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
- Cost Tracking: Utilize SAP and corporate Excel files to accurately track costs of projects, maintaining detailed records for financial reporting and analysis.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and good construction practices, as well as local, state, and federal laws, to maintain safe work practices for contractors and personnel.
- Project Scoping: Develop comprehensive job scopes for bidding on Mechanical, Electrical, and controls projects, facilitating the smooth execution of initiatives.
- Construction Management: Manage the construction and installation of improvements, collaborating closely with contractors and plant personnel to ensure timely project completion without disrupting production.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with plant personnel and corporate stakeholders to plan and implement new improvements that align with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Significant experience in industrial maintenance or construction, with demonstrated expertise in project management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in metal fabrication and design is advantageous. Strong understanding of OSHA construction guidelines, including machine guarding, safe work practices, NFPA 70E guidelines, and other relevant regulations.
- Computer Proficiency: Ability to operate Microsoft Office applications, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Project, SAP, and SharePoint.
- Financial Management: Experience in financial management, including tracking payments and purchase orders for multi-million dollar projects and managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with plant management, corporate teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
