  • Schedule: You will only be working on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, with 12-hour shifts either during the day or at night.
  • Position Type: Full-time.
Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee daily operations to achieve safety, quality, and production goals set by management.
  • Ensure production targets are met and exceeded, including turnover and chemical inventory management.
  • Minimize downtime through effective engineering controls and regular maintenance checks.
  • Enhance employee safety by identifying hazards, implementing solutions, and conducting daily safety checks and follow-ups.
  • Optimize cost efficiency by reducing chemical waste and ensuring accurate chemical measurements and usage.
  • Promote continuous improvement in operating processes and procedures, fostering team ownership and participation.
  • Manage employee timecards, vacation requests, and ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by conducting regular equipment checks and safety training.
  • Support research and development efforts, participating in product and process development.
  • Approve process batches according to technical specifications and assist in resolving customer issues.
  • Train employees in operational procedures and ensure adherence to production standards.
  • Provide technical assistance to both internal and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve chemical product applications and achieve quality standards.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within the leather manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with wet blue processing.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and chemical handling procedures.
  • Ability to manage production schedules and meet targets.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality control standards.
