Our client is searching for a Cloud Support Engineer to join their team in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

 

The Cloud Support Engineer needs to be a highly skilled technical professional who deploys their abilities to solve problems, provide assistance, and maintain customer satisfaction for those using cloud services. Their focus is on ensuring a positive user experience and optimizing cloud resources.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Provide advanced strategic knowledge and technical oversight for the identification and containment of incidents.
  • Delegate response tasks effectively and prioritize response actions across multiple incidents.
  • Create detailed timelines and other supporting documentation.
  • Work with partner teams to provide technical analysis of cases to assist in the development of mitigation and detection techniques.
  • Turn technical analysis into high-quality incident after-action reports.
  • Understand the Business Lines and IT organization.
  • Have advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Develop a solid understanding of the application and infrastructure components supporting the business units.
  • Establish the capabilities to resolve the incident and restore service as rapidly as possible, driving all activities related to resolving the issue.
  • Identify trends on the monitored IT systems that could impact business operations.
  • Use AWS to deploy development, QA, and production apps.
  • Document solutions and decisions across the whole development cycle.
  • Work with partner teams to automate and improve processes to help support business growth.
  • Have advanced troubleshooting skills.

 

What We Look for in the Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in troubleshooting and managing cloud infrastructure production environments.
  • Experience mainly in AWS (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, Load Balancer, ECS, EKS, etc.)
  • Experience with REST APIs in a microservices architecture.
  • Experience with monitoring systems - Zabbix, AWS CloudWatch.
  • Experience with Cloudflare or other CDN services.
  • Experience with Databases - MS SQL Server / PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with ticketing systems - Jira Service Management / Jira Software / Confluence.
  • Familiarity with authentication and security best practices (SAML, SSO).
  • An understanding of networking concepts, DNS, and load balancers.
  • Understanding of Azure core services.
  • Must have a deep understanding of Kubernetes and Docker architecture and associated tools.
  • Experience in building processes for deploying to a Kubernetes-based environment.
  • Experience in building an end-to-end CI/CD pipeline to build, test, and deploy to different AWS environments such as Lambda, EC2, ECS, EKS, etc.
  • Upper Intermediate or above English level.

 

It Is a Plus If You Have:

  • Work with Azure, GCP.
  • Programming languages: Java.
  • Working experience in an Agile organization.
  • Knowledge of ITIL methodologies.
